Community service

Community Service is one of the mainstays of Rotary Service often involving hands on work in the local community to help improve the lives of people of all ages, abilities and those less privileged in our local communities.

Amongst the many activities we assist with Foodbanks and Poppy Day collections, providing transport for the disabled,  gardening in schools and for the disabled.

From time to time there is also a need for Rotarians to respond to local emergencies and disaster situations such as flooding in various parts of the country.

Every Rotarian can make a difference and Community Service is an opportunity for every Rotarian to exemplify the principle motto of  'Service Above Self'

Rotary Community Service offers a great opportunity to raise awareness of Rotary Clubs and the wider work of Rotary and helps Rotarians to work together for a better world.
